The recipes
| Recipe | Works on | Cost | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Add Affix | Common, Magic, Rare, Legendary with a free line | 1 Coarse, 5 Raw, prism optional | Adds one line, picked by weight from the prism's list for that item type and class. Lines already on the item, and lines in the same family, can't come up. |
| Remove Affix | Magic and Rare only | 1 Refined, 15 Raw, prism optional | Removes one line the prism covers, picked evenly when several qualify. With no prism it can take any line. It never takes the enchanted line. |
| Focused Reroll | Magic, Rare, Legendary | 1 Refined, 15 Raw, prism required | Replaces one line the prism covers with another line from the same prism. It never picks the enchanted line. |
| Chaotic Reroll | Magic, Rare, Legendary | 1 Refined, 15 Raw, prism | The prism picks which kind of line goes. No source publishes what the new line can be: we assume any kind, the same kind included, so the planner's Chaotic odds are an estimate (how we work them out). Maxroll's guide says another kind and lists the prism as optional. |
| Affix Value Reroll | Rare and better, and talismans | 1 Attuned, 100 Raw; Maxroll also lists Infused Horadric Resin as optional | Rerolls the values of the plain lines. Greater, enchanted, tempered and transfigured lines keep theirs. What the resin changes is not stated; to test in game. New in Season 15. |
| Upgrade to Legendary | Rare | 1 Pure, 10 Raw | Adds a random aspect. Imprinting at the Occultist gives the aspect you choose. |
| Craft Unique | Common | 1 Enhanced, 10 Raw | Makes a Unique item from the Common base. |
| Unique Power Reroll | Ancestral Unique | 1 Attuned, 100 Raw | Rerolls the value of the Unique Power. |
| Upgrade to Mythic | Ancestral Unique at 900 item power | 5 Resplendent Sparks | Makes it a Mythic, keeping its stats and Greater Affixes. |
| Upgrade Direct Item to Mythic | A Unique that is not unmodifiable | Not in our sources; check in game | A one-to-one move to Mythic with a Crafted tag; you can wear only one Crafted item. Blizzard says it costs more than the Blacksmith and Jeweler routes. New in Season 15. |
| 3 to 1 Transmutation | 3 of the same equipment, talisman or rune | The 3 items | One random new item of that type. Three Ancestral items give an Ancestral one, which can roll Greater Affixes. |
| Recycle Uniques | 3 of the same Unique, Mythic or Unique Charm | The 3 items | One new item of that type. |
| Horadric Reroll | Legendary and better charms and seals | 1 Pure, 100 Raw, 100 Infused Horadric Resin | Rerolls all base lines on the talisman; set bonuses and unique powers stay. New in Season 15. |
| Transfigure | Legendary, Unique, Mythic | 1 Volatile | One random upgrade, such as a bonus line or a Greater Affix. The item nearly always becomes unmodifiable. |
Focused and Chaotic Reroll no longer work on Unique and Mythic items (since patch 3.1.0). Charm, amalgamation and rune recipes are not listed here.
Royal gems with Chromatic (check in game): Season 15's recipe list still has them (d4guides recipe database, patch 3.2.3). Add Affix with a Chromatic prism and a Royal Sapphire, Ruby, Topaz, Skull, Emerald or Amethyst gives Cold, Fire, Lightning, Physical, Poison or Shadow Resistance; Focused Reroll with the gem turns a resistance into that element. Players tested it in Season 13 (Reddit, May 2026); we found no Season 15 report, so the planner doesn't count on it.
The enchant lock: an enchanted line, even one kept with No Change, is never picked by Remove, Focused or Chaotic Reroll. Maxroll's crafting guide says so without a prism; one test by the site's owner found it holds with a prism too.
What each Tuning Prism covers
| Prism | Lines it covers |
|---|---|
| Aggressive | Offense: every kind of damage, Critical Strike, Attack Speed, Vulnerable, main stat, Thorns |
| Protector's | Defense: Maximum Life, Armor, Damage Reduction, Dodge, resistances, Life on Hit and on Kill, Life Regeneration, Fortify Generation |
| Resourceful | Resource: per second and on kill, cost reduction, generation, maximum resource |
| Adept's | Main stat and skill ranks |
| Pragmatic | Utility: Movement Speed, Cooldown Reduction, evade lines, Barrier, Healing Received, Impairment Reduction, Lucky Hit Chance, Potion Capacity, Thorns, Life Regeneration, Fortify Generation |
| Chromatic | The six single resistances and All Resistance |
Some lines sit in two prisms: main stat (Aggressive and Adept's), Thorns (Aggressive and Pragmatic), Life Regeneration and Fortify Generation (Protector's and Pragmatic) and the resistances (Protector's and Chromatic). The game data puts Fortify Generation in Pragmatic only; Maxroll's guide lists it under Protector's too, so the planner counts both. Lines in one family can't share an item: the six single resistances, the skill-rank lines, and the main stats are the ones that matter most.
What changed in Season 15
- New recipes: Affix Value Reroll, Horadric Reroll for charms and seals, and Upgrade Direct Item to Mythic (patch 3.2.1).
- Enchanting an Ancestral item costs 10 Forgotten Souls instead of 25.
- Cube Materials Caches give about 2 to 3 times more cube materials.
- Coarse dust, which Add Affix uses, drops less at higher difficulty; the other dusts drop more.
- Chaotic Reroll with a prism was reworded: the prism picks the kind of line that goes.
- Paladins no longer roll Damage over Time lines.
- Four lines that the cube could not reroll (Impairment Reduction, Barrier Generation, Healing Received, Critical Strike Damage) were fixed in 3.2.3.
- Affix weights and families are the same as in Season 14.
On the 3.3.0 test server, not in Season 15: a Greater Temper recipe that turns the tempered line into a Greater Affix for 30 Scrolls of Restoration and 1,000 Obducite.
